Could an allergy be the
reason for your depression ?
Depression is a blight on the
lives of many people and their
families, who suffer indirectly.
Most of the time the treatment
is directed at the symptom not
the cause. If we put aside the
medical, psychological and
emotional reasons we are left
with 'we are made of what we
ingest'. (Eat, Drink and Inhale)
Toxins are the problem and can
be heavy, like, drugs or
smoking, and some food or
drinks, Usually food and drinks
are mild toxins where they
affect our metabolism. It is the
mild ones that we do not notice,
they build gradually in our
system until they can cause
trouble, and one of many
troubles that can be caused is
depression.
This comes about because the
body's answer to toxins is to
try and dilute them, giving an
inflammatory response which
means localised swelling. When
that location affects the head
or neck we get reduced vascular
and neurological circulation,
which is why depression is often
accompanied by headaches, stiff
neck and low back pain.
Unfortunately, the cause of our
problems, are usually the foods
or drink that we like best, and
are therefore part of our
regular diet. Once the allergic
response takes hold, and the
depression starts, eating simply
makes it worse.
Have you noticed that when you
feel depressed you do not wish
to eat much, if anything, and
the depression or headache
lifts, after a while, only to
return when you start eating
again.
The answer is to test everything
we ingest to be certain that we
do not allow toxins to build in
the body to a dangerous level,
to cause the inflammatory
response from allergens.
This testing can be done
medically, on a hit or miss
basis of omission for a period
of time, for individual foods,
or it can be done by using
Kinesiology, either at a private
clinic or at home. Using the at
home method the whole family can
be tested.
Once you have identified the
food or drink causing the
allergic response, you can
either abstain from it for a
while, to allow the body
defences to rebuild, or you can
consider treating the allergic
reaction, Homeopathically.
The stiff neck and the low back
pain, if present, are not caused
by the allergic response; these
are structural, and depending on
their nature, are best dealt
with by exercise, or Medically,
or by an holistic Osteopath or
Chiropractor.
